Greenspace

Hoxton Press

A lasting impression

Greenspace has designed an all-new, fully-interactive customer showroom experience for visitors to Anthology Hoxton Press. Sat next to Shoreditch Park Primary School, the space will be handed over to the school as new teaching facilities once the development is completed.

The 200m2 space, which comprises a gallery exhibition area, interactive development model, two bedroom show apartment and customer meeting rooms, is set within a new, sustainable building designed by Karakusevic Carson Architects. A unique 15m Hexagonal bookcase welcomes visitors and displays local art from Hundred Years Gallery, historical books, models and material samples .

Anthology Hoxton Press sits on a site where former printmakers the Mullord Brothers created beautiful, hand-crafted printed pieces back in the 1860’s. It’s this rich history of print which drove both the naming strategy of the development and its two towers, Mono and Duo.

Anthology Hoxton Press will become an iconic development for the area – consisting of two unique hexagonal towers, one 16-storey (Duo) and one 20-storey (Mono). Designed by Karakusevic Carson Architects and David Chipperfield Architects, the towers will deliver 198 new homes.Greenspace made a film to tell the story of the design process with exclusive interviews from David Chipperfield and Paul Karakusevic.

In homage to the craftsmanship and skill
 of the Mullord Brothers,
Greenspace also worked with local artisans New North Press to create a contemporary typeface inspired by the architecture of Hoxton Press.

Named AHP Six, it was created specifically for use in Letterpress. New North Press then used it create a set of poetic typographic prints and displayed in the gallery area. A film was also made to tell the story of the design and process behind it.

Another part of the marketing campaign for Anthology Hoxton Press, has been to source local heroes to feature, chosen for their contribution to the Hoxton landscape. Their stories have been used a content for the site website and include everything from art galleries to local residents.
